Step 6. Verify the IP address

To verify that you are using AWS PrivateLink to connect to

Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services

, verify the IP address. The IP address you use should differ from the one you noted in the "Before you begin" step.

Open a terminal in your AWS VPC and use the ping command to verify that the IP address now differs from the one returned in Before you begin.

For example, if your

https://dm-us.informaticacloud.com/identity-service/home

, use the following command to ping

Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services

ping dm-us.informaticacloud.com

The command now returns output like the following example:

PING iics-gaprod-ids-elb-123456789.us-west-2.elb.amazonaws.com (10.98.76.543): 56 data bytes

The new IP address should start with the same numbers as the IP address for your VPC.
