Apply the HotFix on UNIX

Apply the HotFix on UNIX

You can apply the hotfix for Proactive Monitoring in console mode on UNIX. The hotfix has separate installers for the Governance and Operations editions. If you installed both editions in the same directory, you only need to apply the hotfix once.
Before you apply the hotfix, verify that you back up the version 3.0 installation folder.
  1. Log in to the machine with a system user account.
  2. Run the
    Informatica_PMPC_<Edition>_3.0HF1.bin
     file from the directory where you downloaded the files.
  3. Press
    2
     to apply the hotfix for Proactive Monitoring for PowerCenter 3.0.
  4. Press
    Enter
    .
    Installation Directory
     section appears.
  5. Type the location of the installation directory where you installed Proactive Monitoring for PowerCenter 3.0. The default location of the installation directory is
    /home/Proactive_Monitoring
  6. Press
    Enter
    .
    The
    Pre-Installation Summary
     section appears.
  7. Review the pre-installation summary, and press
    Enter
     to continue.
    The
    Installation Complete
     section appears.
  8. Press
    Enter
     to complete the installation and then exit the installer.
Review the
PMPC_<Edition>_3.0HF1_Hotfix.log
 file in installation directory for information about apply the hotfix process.
