IDMC Services Upgrade Information
Dropped support for Simba JDBC driver
Effective in the July 2025 release, Informatica drops support for Simba JDBC driver in Databricks Connector. Use the Databricks JDBC driver, for details refer HOW TO: Use Databricks JDBC driver for Databricks connector in IDMC (Right click and open in new tab/window)Snowflake Data cloud connector.
With the July 2025 release, a new feature is available that allows you to test the latest JDBC driver for Snowflake Data Cloud Connector. DBMICLI commands failing with "Decrypted text provided is incorrect" If using encrypted password. |
As a workaround Option1: If Prior to the release of the respective POD it is required take to necessary measures to avoid the issue.
OR Option2: If issue observed Post upgrade. If the earlier step to manually copy is missed before upgrade/release, then it is suggested to run the dbmicli command to encrypt the password newly and update the new encrypted password in the respective locations where dbmicli command is run. This is part of the runtime continuity feature in IDMC which allows you to continue running critical jobs during the upgrade. Older versions will be shutdown automatically in ~24 hrs. It was identified as the regression introduced in the July release code not honoring the default timeout of 5 minutes. with ASM thread connection. Process server got restarted or went into stopped state automatically after July 2025 major release in CAI |
We have determined that the process server fails to start following the July 2025 release. The cause of the issue has been identified as interference by the monitoring tools, which are blocking the process server.
