The ElementAbbreviation Attribute

The ElementAbbreviation Attribute

You can configure the
ElementAbbreviation
 attribute of the
Result
 element in
Parameters.xml
 to specify whether to use abbreviations for element descriptors in result output.
If you set
ElementAbbreviation
 to ON, Address Verification uses standard abbreviations for element descriptors if the reference address database contains the corresponding abbreviations.
The default value of
ElementAbbreviation
 is OFF.
If you set
GlobalPreferredDescriptor
 to a value other than DATABASE,
GlobalPreferredDescriptor
 setting takes precedence over the
ElementAbbreviation
 setting for the corresponding descriptors.
