Multilanguage Support for China Addresses

You can configure Address Verification to return the street descriptor and street directional information in a valid China address in a transliterated Latin script (Pinyin) or in English. Address Verification returns the other elements in the address in Pinyin.

To set the preferred language, configure the

PreferredLanguage

attribute of the

Result

element in

Parameters.xml

The following table describes the

PreferredLanguage

values that you can set for China address data:

Option	Description
DATABASE	Default value. Returns all address information in Hanzi.
ENGLISH	Returns the street descriptor and street directional information in English. Returns all other address information in Pinyin.
ALTERNATIVE_1	Returns the street descriptor and street directional information in the database language.
PRESERVE_INPUT	Returns the address in the input language.
