Installation for Enterprise Data Preparation

Installation for Enterprise Data Preparation

Preface

Preface

Follow the instructions in the
Informatica Installation for Enterprise Data Preparation
guide to install Enterprise Data Preparation. In addition to install steps, the guide also includes pre- and post-requisite tasks.
Review the installation guide to install the Informatica services and clients for the Informatica domain. Verify the database requirements and set up the databases for the domain. You can verify the distributions for the supported products in the native and non-native environments. Verify that your environment meets the minimum system requirements for the installation process, temporary disk space, port availability, databases, and application service hardware.
You can use the Informatica Developer tool to connect to the Model repository. You can also enable secure communication within the domain and the Developer tool.
Enterprise Data Preparation uses Enterprise Data Catalog to search for data and discover data lineage and relationships. You must install Enterprise Data Catalog and create and configure the Enterprise Data Catalog services before you install Enterprise Data Preparation.
After you complete the installation, you can create application services based on the products and functionality that your organization purchased. For example, you can create application services that access Model repository objects, such as the Model Repository Service and the Data Integration Service.
