Output port that identifies the level-two statistical area to which an Australia address belongs. The Level Two Statistical Area 9-Digit port returns the full version of the level-two statistical area code.
Level-two statistical areas have an average of 10,000 inhabitants, and they typically contain between 3,000 and 25,000 inhabitants. A level-two statistical area comprises multiple level-one statistical areas.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics uses a nine-digit code and a five-digit code to recognize a level-two statistical area. The nine-digit code contains discrete identifiers for all regions in the Australian Statistical Geography Standard main structure to which the area belongs, including the level-two statistical area itself. The five-digit code contains identifiers for the level-two statistical area and for the state or territory to which the area belongs.
