Avro Data Compression with the Snappy Codec

Avro Data Compression with the Snappy Codec

You can compress Avro data with the complex file reader. If you use the Snappy codec for Avro data compression, you must update the Snappy codec .jar file before you test or run the transformation.
To use the Snappy codec, replace the default Snappy .jar file in the Informatica server installation and in the Hadoop environment with the updated version. The updated
snappy-java-1.0.4.1.jar
file is available at the following link: http://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.xerial.snappy/snappy-java/1.1.0.1
