Business Glossary Known Limitations (10.1.1 HotFix 1)

Business Glossary Known Limitations (10.1.1 HotFix 1)

The following table describes known limitations:
You cannot view or search for glossary assets in the Analyst tool even if you have the necessary privileges and permissions that are assigned to the Stakeholder role.
  1. Log out of the Analyst tool.
  2. Login to Informatica Administrator with administrator privileges.
  3. Create a new user and assign the necessary user role permissions and privileges.
  4. Log in to the Analyst tool with the original credentials, and then view or search for the business glossary assets.
If you press
during the glossary import job, the Analyst tool does not allow you to import the glossary later.
Workaround: Recycle the Analyst Service in Informatica Administrator, and then import the glossary in the Analyst tool.
If the Analyst tool contains more than 35,000 business terms, Business Glossary Desktop takes a long time to open a business term.
After you search for a glossary asset in the Analyst tool search box, the asset list in the
workspace does not display the
menu options such as edit, delete, and open.
The Analyst tool does not delete the business term asset links after you delete a Metadata Manager resource from Metadata Manager.
Workaround: To remove business term asset links from the Analyst tool, perform the following steps:
  1. Select the glossary that contains business term asset links and export it to an .xlsx file.
  2. Delete the glossary that contains the business term asset links in the Analyst tool.
  3. In the exported .xlsx file, delete the
    Asset Links
worksheet, and then import the .xlsx file into the Analyst tool.
