PowerCenter Fixed Limitations (10.2)

PowerCenter Fixed Limitations (10.2)

Review the Release Notes of previous releases for information about previous fixed limitations.
The following table describes fixed limitations:
When you configure the web service DTM Keep Alive Time property for the Data Integration Service, the Web Services Provider fails with an error for all subsequent requests after the first request.
When you add or remove a user from LDAP, the Repository Service does not update or sync privileges.
When you run the
infacmd ipc genReuseReportFromPC
command for a large repository, the request hangs.
Sessions that call an unconnected Stored Procedure transformation from an Expression transformation take a long time to complete.
If you configure ODBC on Windows to connect to a Microsoft SQL Server database, sessions terminate randomly.
If you set the commit type to target for a session that writes data to Microsoft SQL Server in bulk mode, the session rejects all the records even if the source contains only one bad record.
Oracle sessions that contain a Lookup transformation with an uncached lookup generate the SELECT statement with double quotes and fail.
Sessions that truncate an IBM DB2 target table take a long time to complete.
Microsoft SQL Server sessions fail with an invalid cursor state error if all of the following conditions are true:
  • The session uses an SQL query override that contains an IF condition that does not return any data.
  • The Microsoft SQL Server connection uses the ODBC provider type.
On Linux, the performance of a Netezza session enabled for partition decreases when you increase the number of partitions.
The mapping hangs if you use an SQL transformation in AIX and enable high precision.
When the number of cores on the system are higher than the partitions, the session intermittently fails with the threading issue.
When the objects are not checked out, you cannot view the connection details in the session properties.
When the mapping has Stored Procedure transformations, the memory consumption by the pmdtm process exceeds in 10.1.1.
Sessions that use a Teradata relational connection and truncate the Teradata target table fail with the following error message:
[ERROR] [Teradata][ODBC Teradata Driver][Teradata Database] The UserId, Password or Account is invalid.
The sender of on Success or Failure email cannot be overwritten with the $user environment variable in SUSE 11.
A Command task with a multi-line script generates ^M characters that causes the script to fail.
The deployment group takes a long time to close in the Repository Manager.
The following table describes closed enhancement requests:
Column validation for a source flat file is enabled.
