Profiles and Scorecards Known Limitations (10.1.1 HotFix 1)

The following table describes known limitations:

Description
PLAT-17573
IDE-2500
Column profile run fails for a logical data object when one of the following conditions is true:
  • Pushdown optimization fails for the logical data object. This issue occurs for logical data objects that you create on data sources except IBM DB2 and Oracle data sources.
  • The database collation is not set to latin1_general_bin.
OCON-9050
An error appears in the Analyst tool when the following conditions are true:
  1. You create a profile or scorecard on a Hive source.
  2. You run the profile or scorecard in the Native run-time environment.
  3. You drill down on the profile results or scorecard results.
Workaround: Run the profile or scorecard on the Blaze engine.
OCON-9001
An error appears in the Analyst tool when the following conditions are true:
  1. You use the JDBC connection as the profiling warehouse connection.
  2. You run a scorecard multiple times.
  3. You view and export the scorecard trend chart.
IDE-2587
When you export the scorecard trend chart to a Microsoft Excel 2016 file, incorrect dates and total row count appear in the Microsoft Excel file.

In the Analyst tool, column profile run fails for a data source that has a column with data type varchar2 and column length 4000.

Null pointer exception appears when the following conditions are true:
  1. You use a data source to create two logical data objects.
  2. You create a column profile each on the logical data objects.
  3. You use the columns from both the profiles to create a scorecard.
  4. You run the scorecard in the Analyst tool.

In the scorecard wizard, no data appears in the Available Values pane and Valid Values pane when the following conditions are true:
  1. In the Developer tool, you create an AzureBlob data object and create a column profile on the data object.
  2. In the Developer tool, you create a scorecard on the profile results.
  3. In the Analyst tool, you open the scorecard.
  4. You click the Edit icon and navigate to the Metrics tab in the scorecard wizard.

Column profile with data domain discovery runs indefinitely when the following conditions are true:
  1. You configure the Data Integration Service for a Hortonworks 2.5 cluster.
  2. You create a data object and create a column profile on the data object.
  3. You choose data domain discovery and choose the data domain group PII.
  4. You choose Hive as the run-time environment.
  5. You run the profile.
