Transformations Known Limitations

The following table describes known limitations:
Performance is slow when a mapping that is running on the Blaze engine has pipeline branches that meet in a Joiner transformation and a map-side join occurs based on an estimate of the data volume.
A dynamic mapping fails when it contains a lookup condition that contains a less-than operator (<) or a less-than-or-equal to (<=) operator. The mapping fails with the following error: The lookup condition in the Lookup transformation [transformation name] is not valid because of the following error: [The lookup port [port name] does not exist.].
When a REST web service contains an Exception transformation, the web service returns a fault message. A database error occurs when the Exception transformation writes to two relational targets in the resource mapping.
You cannot copy fields to the Ports view of a REST Web Service Consumer transformation.
Workaround: Manually add the ports to the REST Web Service Consumer transformation. (430163)
When you use the ABORT() function in an Expression transformation, the Data Integration Service does not process the Expression transformation.
Workaround: Change the default value of the output port to 0 and run the mapping again. (395353)
When the Data Integration Service performs a cached lookup and an uncached lookup on Microsoft SQL Server Uniqueidentifier data types, it does not return the same number of rows. (387899)
When adding custom ports, non-reusable REST transformation incorrectly appends new custom ports to deleted custom ports.
Workaround: Re-create the transformation. (407604)
The Key Generator transformation cannot generate unique sequence ID values in a Hadoop environment. (356755)
