After you back up a domain and restore it, the Informatica Services do not start up.
You cannot preview the data for a transformation when the following conditions are true for a mapping:
A logical error in metadata synchronization might occur when you open a project in the Developer tool. The error might not load transformations and mapplets properly. It might also cause mapplets to show errors for certain ports and no longer be connected to other transformations in the workflow.
If the logical error occurs and the user tries to import certain exported metadata into the Developer tool, the Developer tool displays a message that an unknown error has occurred to avoid exacerbating the issue.
When you import metadata from an IBM DB2 z/OS source, the Developer tool displays the schema name as default instead of the schema name associated with the user. The Developer tool also duplicates columns that are present in multiple schemas.
If you use the DB2 JDBC drivers to read data from IBM DB2 z/OS databases, data preview fails.
When you generate a mapping from an SQL query and edit the filter condition in the logical data object read mapping, data preview of Read transformation fails with the following error:
[LDTM_0042] The mapping cannot be validated because of the following errors: [The connection for data object [object name] cannot be empty.
When you install Developer tool on Windows, some JAR files are not installed.
When you import an object from an XML file into the Developer tool, a message is not written to the Developer tool log file.
If you install the SQL Server JDBC driver on a virtual machine, you cannot use the driver to connect to Azure SQLServer. (457076)
When you import Teradata or Netezza objects from PowerCenter to the Developer tool, objects are converted as Teradata or Netezza objects by default. (457283)
If you configure ODBC on Windows to connect to a Microsoft SQL Server database, mappings terminate randomly.
Dynamic mappings fail intermittently with the following error message:
[com.informatica.sdk.dtm.InvalidMappingException] Exception Message: [[LDTMEXP_0029] Failed to process mapping because of following reason [null].].
If you enable high precision, set NLS_LANG to a non-English locale on the machine that runs the Informatica services, and read decimal data from an Oracle source, a data overflow or conversion error occurs.
If the database service goes down when you run a mapping to write large volumes of data to a Microsoft SQL Server database, the mapping stops responding.
Copy and paste operations on a reference table object might fail.
Export to PowerCenter fails because an Oracle target contains fields of the String data type instead of the Varchar data type.
