Viewing Mapplet and Mapping Reports (Deprecated)

Viewing Mapplet and Mapping Reports (Deprecated)

You can view PowerCenter Repository Reports for mappings and mapplets in the Designer. View reports to get more information about the sources, targets, ports, and transformations in mappings and mapplets. When you view a report, the Designer launches JasperReports Server in a browser window and displays the report.
You can view the following reports:
  • Mapplet Composite Report
  • Mapping Composite Report
An administrator uses the Administrator tool to create a Reporting and Dashboards Service and adds a reporting source for the service. The reporting source must be the PowerCenter repository that contains the mappings and mapplets you want to report on.

Deprecated Behavior

Effective in version 10.1, Informatica deprecated the Reporting and Dashboards Service. Informatica plans to drop support for the Reporting and Dashboards Service in a future release.
You can create additional reports based on the PowerCenter repository views. You can use a third-party reporting tool to create reports. For information about the PowerCenter repository views, see the
Informatica PowerCenter Repository Guide
