Aggregate Functions and Nulls

Aggregate Functions and Nulls

When you configure the
PowerCenter Integration Service
, you can choose how you want to handle null values in aggregate functions. You can have the
PowerCenter Integration Service
treat null values in aggregate functions as NULL or 0.
By default, the
PowerCenter Integration Service
treats null values as NULL in aggregate functions. If you pass an entire port or group of null values, the function returns NULL. You can optionally configure the
PowerCenter Integration Service
if you pass an entire port of null values to an aggregate function to return 0.
