Preface

The PowerCenter® Designer Guide is written for developers and software engineers responsible for implementing a data warehouse. The PowerCenter Designer Guide assumes that you have a solid understanding of your operating systems, relational database concepts, and database engines, flat files, or mainframe system in your environment. This guide also assumes that you are familiar with the interface requirements for your supporting applications.
