PowerExchange for SAP NetWeaver Connections

PowerExchange for SAP NetWeaver Connections

Depending on the method of integration with mySAP applications, configure the following types of connections:
  • SAP R/3 application connection.
Configure SAP R/3 application connections to access the SAP system when you run an RFC stream, HTTP stream or file mode session.
  • SAP ABAP HTTP streaming application connection.
Configure SAP ABAP HTTP streaming connections to read data from SAP tables through ABAP and by using the HTTP protocol. When you run an HTTP stream mode session, you must configure the session to use the SAP streaming reader, an SAP ABAP HTTP streaming connection, and an SAP R/3 application connection.
  • FTP connection.
Configure FTP connections to access the staging file through FTP. When you run a file mode session, you can configure the session to access the staging file on the SAP system through FTP.
  • SAP_ALE _IDoc_Reader and SAP_ALE _IDoc_Writer application connection.
Configure SAP_ALE_IDoc_Reader application connections to receive IDocs and business content integration documents using ALE. Configure SAP_ALE_IDoc_Writer application connections to send IDocs using ALE.
  • SAP RFC/BAPI interface application connection.
Configure SAP RFC/BAPI Interface application connections if you want to process data in SAP using BAPI/RFC transformations.
The following table describes the type of connection you need depending on the method of integration with mySAP applications:
