Step 4. Configure an Oracle Connection

Configure an Oracle connection in Workflow Manager and add the TNS details. You can use this connection in a session to read data from or write data to Oracle from PowerCenter.
  1. Click
    Connections
    Relational
    .
  2. Click
    New
    to create new connection.
  3. Select
    Oracle
    subtype, and click
    OK
    .
  4. Specify the username and password for the Oracle connection.
  5. In the
    Connection String
    field, enter the TNS name created for Oracle Connection Manager service in the
    tnsnames.ora
    file:
    You can view the sample TNS name for the 
					 tnsnames.ora file.
  6. Click
    OK
    .
