Creating a Twitter Streaming Connection

Creating a Twitter Streaming Connection

Create a Twitter streaming connection before you create a Twitter streaming data object.
  1. Click
    Window
    Preferences
    .
  2. Select
    Informatica
    Connections
    .
  3. Expand the domain in the
    Available Connections
    .
  4. Select the connection type in
    Social Media
    Twitter Streaming
    and click
    Add
    .
  5. Enter a connection name and optional description.
  6. Select the hose type.
  7. Configure the OAuth connection properties.
    1. Enter the consumer key and consumer secret.
    2. Select whether you have the access token and secret.
      Select
      Yes
      if you have the access token and secret. Select
      No
      if you want to generate the access token and secret. The OAuth Utility opens the Twitter developer login page. Authorize the application. The Authentication Successful window appears. Close the window. The OAuth Utility populates the access token and access secret in the Connection wizard.
  8. Click
    Test Connection
    to verify the connection to the Twitter web site.
  9. Click
    Finish
    .
