PowerExchange Express CDC for Oracle adds toleration support for Oracle 19
c
sources on Red Hat Linux.
Toleration support
means that PowerExchange can capture data from Oracle 19
c
sources but does not support any of the Oracle new features introduced in 19
c
that the source database uses.
CDC support for Oracle 19
c
sources on AIX, Solaris, and Windows will be added in subsequent releases of 10.4.0 HotFix 1 to be phased across platforms.
If the Oracle redo logs reside on AIX, Solaris, or Windows, you can run the PowerExchange Listener and PowerExchange Logger on Linux to capture changes from the logs
Beginning with Oracle 19
c
, PowerExchange capture processing of indexed-organized tables (IOTs) in 4 KB tablespaces might result in change data loss or corruption. Do not try to capture change data from Oracle 19
c
IOTs in 4 KB tablespaces.
For Amazon RDS for Oracle sources, PowerExchange Express CDC for Oracle supports only version 12.2.
