DTLURDMO Utility Enhancements

DTLURDMO Utility Enhancements

The DTLURDMO utility includes the following performance and reporting enhancements:
  • You can now specify an alternative input data set, file, or directory for the capture registrations, data maps, and extraction maps on the source node.
  • You can now direct a DTLURDMO report to a standard output location or to a separate file.
  • You can now model selection scenarios by using the TESTMODE control statement. This statement now functions in the same way for all copy statements.
  • Report format and content has been updated to improve report usability and legibility.
  • Use the new TESTMODE statement to run the utility in test mode. In this mode, the utility tests the selections and exclusions for copy operations without making any updates or changes to the target. To test rename or other copy processing, continue to use the VALIDATE statement, which performs all functions of the utility except for writing the copied maps or registrations to the target destination.
  • The VALIDATE statement can now be used to model selection scenarios and to modify in-memory changes to the selected maps and registrations without committing the changes to the output files. This control statement now functions in the same way for all copy statements.
