EDMUOPTS Utility Example JCL

EDMUOPTS Utility Example JCL

To run the EDMUOPTS utility, use the sample JCL in the #EXSU member of the
HLQ
.SAMPLIB library, where
HLQ
is the high-level qualifier specified at PowerExchange installation.
Customize the sample JCL, as needed, and then submit the job.
For example, the following JCL statements generate the EDMSDIR report and EDMUPARM report:
//EDMUOPTS JOB 'DTLSETFL',MSGLEVEL=(1,1),MSGCLASS=X,NOTIFY=&SYSUID, // CLASS=A,REGION=0M //******************************************************************* //EDMUOPTS EXEC PGM=EDMUOPTS,PARM='SDIR,UPRM' //STEPLIB DD DISP=SHR,DSN=PWX.LOAD ***** modify for your environment //EDMPARMS DD DISP=SHR,DSN=PWX.USERLIB ***** modify for your environment //REPORT DD SYSOUT=* //SYSOUT DD SYSOUT=*
Descriptions of the JCL statements:
JOB
Defines the EDMUOPTS job card to z/OS, including the job name.
EXEC PGM=EDMUOPTS,PARM='SDIR,UPRM'
Executes the EDMUOPTS program. The PGM name must be EDMUOPTS. Use the PARM keyword to control which reports are generated. You can include one or both of the following PARM values:
  • SDIR
. Generates the EDMSDIR options report.
  • UPRM
. Generates the EDMPARMS options report.
The example JCL includes both values to generate both reports.
STEPLIB DD
Points to the PowerExchange LOAD library.
EDMPARMS DD
Points to the USERLIB library, which contains options modules that are used by several PowerExchange functions.
