Workflow Administration Overview

Workflow Administration Overview

After you deploy a workflow to a Data Integration Service, you can use the Administrator tool or the Monitor tool to administer and monitor the workflow job. You must have the appropriate privileges in order to perform these tasks.
You can monitor a workflow job in the following locations:
  • Monitoring tool. In the Developer tool, click the
    Menu
    button in the
    Progress
    view and select
    Monitor Jobs
    . Select the Data Integration Service that runs the workflow and click
    OK
    . The Monitoring tool opens.
  • Administrator tool. To monitor a workflow job in the Administrator tool, click the
    Monitor
    tab.
When you monitor a workflow job, you can view summary statistics or execution statistics for the job. The
Summary Statistics
view displays a graphical overview of the status of workflow jobs in the domain.
The
Execution Statistics
view displays information about workflow jobs and workflow objects.
When you select a workflow job in the contents panel on the
Execution Statistics
view, you can complete the following tasks:
  • View a graph of the workflow.
  • View properties for workflow objects.
  • Cancel or abort the workflow instance.
  • Recover an interrupted workflow instance.
  • View logs for the workflow instance.
