Bug
Description
BDM-32577
When the Spark engine runs a mapping, the mapping fails to write to the target when the following conditions are true:
  • The mapping reads from a binary complex file data object.
  • The mapping writes to a flat file target.
  • The mapping uses Kerberos authentication.
  • The mapping runs on HDP 3.1.5 or HDI 3.6 ADLS Gen 1 clusters.
BDM-28678
Joiner and Lookup mappings time out and fail when all of the following conditions are true:
  • The mapping has a flat file source.
  • The mapping includes a Joiner or Lookup transformation.
  • The mapping is configured to use Azure HDInsight version 4.0.
The failure occurs when the Spark engine uses the broadcast join method on a mapping that should not use broadcasting.
Workaround: Disable broadcasting. In the mapping run-time properties, set the Hadoop execution environment runtime property spark.sql.autoBroadcastJoinThreshold to -1.
