Address Identifier KR

Input and output ports that contain a unique identifier for a valid South Korea address. You can retrieve the identifier for an address, or you can enter an address and retrieve the corresponding identifier.

A current South Korea address uses street-based information to identify a mailbox. An older South Korea address uses land lot-based information to identify a mailbox. Additionally, current post codes in South Korea contain five digits. Older post codes in South Korea contain six digits. The address formats and the post code formats are interchangeable. For example, you can use a street address with a six-digit post code, and you can use a lot-based address with a five-digit post code.

You can configure the Address Validator transformation to read and write any combination of street address, lot-based address, and post code data. The Address Validator transformation can verify and enrich South Korea addresses in the current format, the older format, or a combination of current and older formats.

Address Identifier KR Usage

To retrieve the South Korea address that an address identifier represents, use the Address Identifier KR input port.

To retrieve the address identifier for a South Korea address, use the Address Identifier KR output port.

Consider the following guidelines when you use an Address Identifier KR port:

When you configure the Address Validator transformation to read an address identifier for a South Korea address, set the transformation mode to address code lookup.

When you configure the Address Validator transformation to write an address identifier for a South Korea address, set the transformation mode to batch or interactive.

To read or write a lot-based address or a six-digit post code, set the Match Extended Archive property on the transformation to On.

Address validation does not verify building data or sub-building data in a South Korea address. If you enter an address that contains building data or sub-building data, address validation copies the data to the output address.

Address Verification does not return building or sub-building data for a South Korea address in address code lookup mode. If you enter an address identifier for an address that contains building data or sub-building data, add the relevant information to the output address. The data that you add must match the output address format.

Address Identifier KR Example

The address identifier is an alphanumeric value that contains 26 characters. The final character identifies the types of information that the address contains.

The address identifier can end in the following characters:

A. Identifies a five-digit post code and a street-based address

B. Identifies a five-digit post code and a lot-based address

C. Identifies a six-digit post code and a street-based address

D. Identifies a six-digit post code and a lot-based address

The following address contains lot-based information and a non-current, six-digit post code:

Address validation returns the following address identifier for the address in batch mode or interactive mode:

9899900BE6A56708D9D663275D

To return the current address, change the D in the address ID value to A and enter the identifier in address code lookup mode.

The following table shows the output address in the Hangul and Latin scripts when you change the address ID character to D:

By default, the Address Validator returns the address in the Hangul script. The Preferred Script property determines the script for the output address. To return the address in the Latin script, select an ASCII option or Latin option on the Preferred Script property.
