Choumei Aza Code Ports

The Choumei Aza Code ports are input and output ports that you can use to verify current and non-current versions of an address in Japan. A Choumei Aza code is an 11-digit value that identifies an address in Japan.

Japan Post can recognize multiple historical versions of an address for a single mailbox. When an address changes, Japan Post recognizes the older address and the newer address. Japan Post might update an address multiple times, and therefore Japan Post can recognize multiple versions of an address for a single mailbox.

You can select the following Choumei Aza Code ports:

Choumei Aza Code JP: The Choumei Aza Code JP input port reads a Choumei Aza code. You can enter a Choumei Aza code for any valid version of an address.; The Choumei Aza Code JP output port returns the Choumei Aza code that corresponds directly to the input address.
Current Choumei Aza Code JP: The Current Choumei Aza Code JP port returns the Choumei Aza code for the latest version of the address that the input code identifies.
New Choumei Aza Code JP: The New Choumei Aza Code JP port returns the Choumei Aza code for any incremental update to the address that the input code identifies.

Choumei Aza Code Port Usage

Use the Choumei Aza Code JP input port to submit a code to address validation. Submit the code in address code lookup mode. When you submit the code, address validation can return the version of the address that the code represents.

Use a Choumei Aza Code output port to return a Choumei Aza code for an input address or for a newer version of the address. Submit the address in batch or interactive mode.

You can select any or all Choumei Aza Code output ports when you validate an address. The port outputs can return the historical and current versions of the address.
