Using the Choumei Aza Code to Update a Japan Address

Using the Choumei Aza Code to Update a Japan Address

To update a non-current Japan address, first validate the address in batch or interactive mode. When you validate the address, select one or more Choumei Aza Code output ports. The Address Validator transformation returns a valid address and any Choumei Aza code that you specified. Then, enter the Choumei Aza code in address code lookup to retrieve the address that matches the code.
When you enter a non-current address or a non-current Choumei Aza code, set the Matching Extended Archive property on the transformation to On.
  1. Configure the Address Validator transformation to run in batch mode or interactive mode.
  2. Connect the input data ports to the Japan address data elements.
  3. Select the output ports for the address data, and select one or more Choumei Aza Code output ports.
    Consider the following options:
    • If you select the Choumei Aza Code JP output port, the transformation returns the Choumei Aza code that corresponds to the version of the address that you entered.
    • If you select the New Choumei Aza Code JP output port, the transformation returns the Choumei Aza code for any incremental update to the address that you entered.
    • If you select the Current Choumei Aza Code JP output port, the transformation returns the Choumei Aza code for the current version address that you entered.
  4. Verify the address.
The Address Validator transformation returns a valid address. The transformation also returns any Choumei Aza code that you specified.
  5. Configure the Address Validator transformation to run in address code lookup mode.
  6. Connect the Choumei Aza Code JP input port to a code output that you received in step 4.
Select the output ports for the address data elements.
  7. Verify the Choumei Aza code.
The transformation returns the address that matches the input code.
If you select the New Choumei Aza Code JP port, you can repeat the steps to find each incremental version of the address.
