Finance Number

Output port that contains the code assigned to United States post offices and other postal facilities to enable collection of cost and statistical data.
A finance number has six digits. The first two digits of the finance number identify the state. The final four digits identify the United States Postal Service (USPS) post office or postal facility.

Finance Number Usage

Select Finance Number when you need to identify the post office or postal facility that processes an address. You can use a finance number to identify a Business Mail Entry Unit (BMEU), as each BMEU has a unique finance number.
