Supplementary AU Status

Supplementary AU Status

Output port that indicates whether the address validation process can write supplementary data for an Australia address. Add supplementary data to an address to assist the mail carrier in mail delivery. Add the Supplementary AU Status port to the address configuration to verify that address validation added the supplementary data to each output address.
Find the ports that contain supplementary data for Australia addresses in the AU Supplementary port group. The ports identify the regions within the main structure of the Australian Statistical Geography Standard to which the address belongs. The Australian Statistical Geography Standard is a hierarchical structure of demographic and administrative regions and sub-regions within Australia. The Australian government uses the standard as the basis for census data collection and organization. The Australian Bureau of Statistics maintains the data that supports the standard.
The following image shows the main structure of the regions in the Australian Statistical Geography Standard:
The Australian Statistical Geography Standard is a framework of regions that the Australian Bureau of Statistics uses to collect, analyze, and release geographically categorized statistics. The standard organizes the regions in a hierarchy. The largest region is a state or territory. The smallest region is a mesh block.
The hierarchy contains the following regions:
  • Country
  • State or territory
  • Greater capital city statistical area
  • Level-four statistical area
  • Level-three statistical area
  • Level-two statistical area
  • Level-one statistical area
  • Mesh block
