Advanced Approval Workflow Overview

The approval workflow process routes a glossary asset to approvers who can vote for or against the asset changes.
A Glossary administrator configures the approval workflow process for a glossary. After the Glossary administrator configures the approval workflow, a data steward publishes or rejects all the new assets in the glossary after the voting process.
The approval workflow consists of two levels of voting. Level 1 approvers are the default approvers, such as asset owners, asset stakeholders, and stewards of related assets. Level 2 approvers are additional approvers apart from the default level 1 approvers.
A Glossary administrator can configure level 1 approvers from the default approvers list. Glossary administrator can either select asset owners and asset stakeholders as level 1 approvers or can select asset owners, asset stakeholders, and stewards of related assets as level 1 approvers. For level 2 approvers, the Glossary administrator can add approvers from a list of users after enabling level 2 voting.
