Status Properties

Status Properties

The
Status
section contains properties about the current status and phase of the policy. The policy is visible to glossary consumers based on the status that you set. The phase corresponds to the tasks the content managers perform. The current status and phase is applicable for the current revision of the policy.
Policies contain the following properties in the
Status
section:
Status
The current status of the policy.
A policy can have one of the following statuses:
  • Active. Indicates that the policy is valid for the organization. All Business Glossary users can see the policy.
  • Inactive. Indicates that the policy is not valid for the organization or not ready for use.
Phase
The current phase of the policy. The value of this property changes when the data steward defines, proposes, rejects, or publishes the policy.
A policy can exist in one of the following phases:
  • Draft. Indicates that the data steward created the policy.
  • In Review. Indicates that the data steward proposed a review by the stakeholder.
  • Rejected. Indicates that the stakeholder reviewed and rejected the policy.
  • Published. Indicates that the data steward published the policy.
  • Pending Publish. Indicates that the policy is part of a business initiative which is not yet published.
Glossary consumers can see published policies.
