Approval Workflow Intervals

The Glossary administrator sets the reminder time and escalation interval for the approval workflow. The Analyst tool changes the voting status based on the reminder time and escalation interval.
The reminder and escalation intervals are based on the end time that the data steward configures when proposing the asset for voting. Level 1 and level 2 have unique end times for the reminder and escalation intervals. The end time for level 2 must be later than the end time for level 1.
Reminder Time
The Analyst tool sends out notifications to approvers who have not voted at the start of the reminder time.
Escalation Interval
The escalation interval is for data stewards to replace approvers who have not voted or assign an additional approver to an existing approver. Either the replaced approver or the original approver can cast their vote. The escalation time must start after the reminder time.
