General Properties for the Search Service

General properties for the Search Service include the name and description of the Search Service, the node on which the Search Service runs, and the license associated with the Search Service.

You can configure the following general properties for the service:

Name: Name of the service. Consider the following guidelines when you name the service:
It is not case-sensitive.
It must be unique in the domain.
It can't exceed 128 characters.
It can't begin with @.
It can't contain the following special characters:
` ~ % ^ * + = { } \ ; : ' " / ? . , < > | ! ( ) ] [

You can't change the name of the service after you create it.
Description: Description of the service. It can't exceed 765 characters.
License: License object that allows use of the service.
Node: Node on which the service runs.
