Configuration Files

The
ssa.ini
configuration file includes the following new parameters:
IDVCHARSET
The IDVCHARSET parameter gives you the choice to represent source data as either extended ASCII or UTF-8. Previously, Data Vault converted all data to UTF-8.
Valid inputs are ASCII and UTF-8. When set to ASCII, the IDVCHARSET parameter sets ASCII mode and treats source data as sets of bytes in the range of 0x00-0xFF.
Example:
IDVCHARSET=ASCII
SSL
The SSL parameter gives you the option to enable Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption for the communication between the Data Vault Service, Data Vault Agent, Data Vault Administration Tool, and the ODBC or JDBC application.
To enable SSL encryption, set the SSL parameter in the SERVER section of the
ssa.ini
file to 1. If you do not want SSL encryption, set the value to 0.
Example:
SSL=1
