You can configure the Data Vault to use the SSL protocol to provide secure and authentic connections. You secure connections between the Data Vault Service and the following components:

Data Vault SQL Tool
Data Vault Administration Tool
Data Vault Agent

You can encrypt the temporary staging files that the Data Vault components create. The Data Vault Service encrypts the contents of the temporary staging files. The encryption persists even if the temporary staging files remain on the disk. For example, if the Data Vault shuts down unexpectedly.
