Enterprise Data Catalog

Enterprise Data Catalog

Read this section to learn what's changed for Enterprise Data Catalog in version 10.5.1.1.
Sampling Options in Google BigQuery Resource
Effective in version 10.5.1.1, you can push the processing for the First N rows and Random Percentage sampling options to Google BigQuery. You can perform sampling on native tables, clustered tables, partitioned tables with require_partition_filter option set to false, and external tables created on top of Google Cloud Storage.
For optimal performance, consider running the profile using the First N rows sampling option.
Sudo Requirements for the Gateway User
Effective in version 10.5.1.1, the commands
tee
and
sed
do not require sudo privileges. Sudo privileges are required for
sshd
to run the cluster validation utility before you upgrade Enterprise Data Catalog.
Cluster Pre-validation
Effective in version 10.5.1.1, the Informatica Cluster Service validates the MaxStartups parameter in the SSH server configuration file. The maximum number of unauthenticated concurrent SSH connections must be set to a value greater than or equal to 30.
