Task Flow

To use TDM with IMS unload file sources, complete the following steps:
  1. Install and configure PowerExchange on z/OS.
  2. Install and configure PowerExchange on the PowerCenter services machine.
  3. Install and configure PowerExchange on the PowerCenter Client machine.
  4. Define data maps for IMS sources and targets on z/OS.
  5. Import PowerExchange source definitions into PowerCenter.
  6. Log in to Test Data Manager.
  7. Define PowerExchange NRDB Batch connections.
  8. Define data masking rules and policies.
  9. Create a project to mask specific data sources and to define a subset of the data.
  10. Optionally, create and run data masking profiles and import them into the TDM repository.
  11. Define groups in data subset.
  12. Assign policies and rules to the source data for data masking.
  13. Create a plan to run the data subset and masking operations.
  14. Generate a workflow from the plan.
  15. Run the workflow and monitor the job.
