Prerequisites for creating a custom field in the Salesforce contact entity

To create a custom field in the Salesforce contact entity, perform the following steps:
  1. Log in to the Salesforce organization.
  2. Go to
    Setup
    Build
    Customize
    Contacts
    Fields
    , and then click
    New
    .

  3. In the
    Field Label
    field, enter the
    ServiceNow_ID
    value and save the custom field.
    You must create a custom field in Salesforce with the
    Text
    data type.
