Amazon Redshift Connector Known Limitations

Amazon Redshift Connector Known Limitations

The following table describes known limitations:
CR
Description
ICS-1948
If you use Amazon Redshift source objects and specify more than two levels of relationships in a
synchronization
task, the
Refresh Fields
option does not display the metadata for the source objects. You can save and run the task, but the task fails at run time.
Workaround: Create a new
synchronization
task that contains objects with two or less than two levels of relationships, or use the
mapping
task.
CCON-9097
When you specify a large value in the
Number of Files per Batch
field, the task fails with an
OutOfMemoryError
error message.
Workaround: You must specify a minimum value based on the cluster type and number of nodes in the Amazon Redshift cluster or leave the field empty.
CCON-6700
If you configure more than 32 partitions, the
mapping
task might fail with the following memory buffer error:
MAPPING> JAVA PLUGIN_1762 [2016-09-23 01:35:29.259] [ERROR] java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Direct buffer memory
MAPPING> CMN_1761 [2016-09-23 01:35:29.259] Timestamp Event: [Fri Sep 23 01:35:29 2016]
Workaround
: The recommended maximum number of partitions is 32.
CCON-6699
If the key range that you specify for partitioning contains a string value with a single quote, the
mapping
task fails.
CCON-3158
When the WHERE clause of a filter or query uses a single quote, the
synchronization
task or
mapping
task fails.
