Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL Connector

Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL Connector

Fixed issues

The following table describes fixed issues:
CR
Description
CLDDI-2679
When you run an
elastic mapping
to read a parameterized query object, the mapping fails. (February 2021)
CCON-28119
When you use a Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL connection to push down a mapping and use a parameter file to parameterize an object, or an advanced property, the Secure Agent fails to override the values. (February 2021)
CCON-28017
When you use a Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL connection to push down a mapping and use a composite key for update or delete operations, the mapping fails. (February 2021)
CCON-27543
When you use a Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL connection to push down a mapping and write the same table to multiple targets, the Secure Agent writes the table only to the first target. (February 2021)
CCON-27793
When you use a Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL connection to push down a mapping, the primary key for the update or delete operation must be the first column of the target table, else the mapping fails. (February 2021)

Third-party fixed issues

The following table describes fixed issues:
CR
Description
CCON-26439
When you create a target at the runtime and the table name contains unicode characters, the mapping fails with the following error:
Cannot create target for transformation target due to the following reason: [There is already an object name '名字的含义fchgch_unicode' in the database.
(February 2021)
Microsoft ticket reference number: 120082823001155

Known issues

The following table describes known issues:
CR
Description
CBDM-11088
When you run an elastic mapping, the mapping fails to write rows that contain all null values or an empty string. (February 2021)
CCON-31731
When you run a mapping enabled for pushdown optimization to update data in Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL and override the table name, the mapping fails to override. (February 2021)
CCON-31730
When you run a mapping enabled for pushdown optimization to read data from Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL and the SQL override query contains a space at the end, the mapping fails.
Workaround: Remove the space from the SQL query.
(February 2021)
CCON-30933
When you use a Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL connection to push down a mapping and use a parameter file to parameterize a connection, the Secure Agent fails to override the connection. (February 2021)
CCON-30826
When you write data to a Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL target and if the source table has columns of Datetime or Datetime2 data type, the seconds value is rounded to the nearest value. (February 2021)
CCON-20477
If you configure an uncached Lookup transformation to look up data from a Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL source and the source contains a column of DateTime or Timestamp data type, the mapping fails for certain values with the following error:
[ERROR] com.informatica.cci.cloud.client.impl.CCIClientExceptionImpl: Invalid expression string for filter condition.
(April 2020)
CCON-14249
When you run a mapping to read a source that contains special characters in the field names and select the Create Target option to write data to a Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL target, the mapping fails. (September 2018)

Third-party known issues

The following table describes third-party known issues:
CR
Description
CCON-29447
When you use an ODBC data source to connect to Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL and use the MERGE statement in the pre-SQL or post-SQL query, the mapping task fails with the following error:
CMN_1022 Database driver error... CMN_1022 [MERGE vivek_merge t USING vivek_test1 s ON s.id = t.id WHEN MATCHED THEN UPDATE SET t.name = s.name FnName: Execute Direct - [Microsoft][ODBC Driver 13 for SQL Server][SQL Server]Parse error at line: 5, column: 27: Incorrect syntax near 'name'. ]
(February 2021)
Microsoft ticket reference number: 121011923001443
CCON-27504
When you use a Microsoft Azure Synapse SQL connection to push down a mapping that reads a complex file and specify the Reject Threshold in advanced target properties, the Secure Agent fails to generate the error files for the rejected rows. (October 2020)
Microsoft ticket reference number: 120082823000669
CCON-14106
When you read data from a source that contains varbinary columns, the Secure Agent reads the empty values for varbinary columns as NULL. (September 2018)
