Rules and Guidelines for Data Filters

Consider the following rules and guidelines to configure data filters when you use JIRA Connector:

You can filter only those fields that the JIRA REST APIs support.

Data Filters does not filter the array data type fields.

In basic filters, encode the special characters in the search string with relevant JIRA escape sequences.

You cannot filter the project field. It is automatically embedded in the query based on the selected source object.

Basic filter has time zone support for all datetime fields. You can select the time zone on the Connections page.

If an existing task has datetime fields in a filter, JIRA Connector applies the default time zone for the datetime fields. If you change the time zone in the Connections page, refresh the existing tasks to update the time zone.

You can use all the filter fields that are available in JIRA. You also have the option of creating custom fields in your JIRA application.
