Finding nodes in a structure

Finding nodes in a structure

Use the
Find & Actions
tab to locate nodes in a structure. You can search for nodes by name or by data type.
  1. On the
    Intelligent Structure Model
    page, click the
    Find & Actions
    tab.
  2. Perform one of the following actions to search for nodes:
    • To search for nodes by name, in the
      Find
field, enter a string to search for and click the arrow.
    • To search for nodes by data type, select
      By Type
and select the data type to search for. The list is divided into basic types and semantic data types and contains all the data types that are used in the model.
The search results appear in the
    Results
area and the nodes that you found are highlighted in the model on the
    Visual Model
    tab. For each node, the
    Results
area shows the last two nodes of the path to the node.
The following image shows the results of a search by a STRING data type:
The Find & Actions tab shows six nodes in the Results area, with the top node selected. On the Visual Model tab, the nodes that you found are highlighted, as well as the path of the selected node.
  3. Optionally, to show the full path to the nodes, select
    Show root-to-node path
    .
