Claiming Tasks

Claiming Tasks

Claim tasks that you want to work on. This ensures that other users cannot work on the tasks while you work on them.
  1. Click
    Task Manager
    .
    The task panel contains a list of tasks.
  2. Click
    Available Tasks
    .
    The task panel lists all the unassigned tasks for your user group.
  3. Optionally, to find tasks to manage, use custom filters or search.
    • Click the
      Filters
      icon, and then add filters.
    • In the search box, enter a search term, and then click the search icon.

  4. Select a task and review the task details, comments, and attachments.
    1. Click the
      Comments
      tab, and then review the comments.
    2. Click
      Task Details
      .
    3. Review the details of the task, such as the priority and due date.
    4. Download attachments in the
      File Attachments
      section.
    5. Click
      Cancel
      .
  5. Repeat step 4 to find additional tasks that you want to claim.
  6. Select the check box beside the tasks that you want to manage.
    The
    Selected
    list appears.
  7. From the
    Selected
    list, select
    Claim
    .
The task panel updates. The tasks appear in the
My Assigned Tasks
tab. Your user name appears in the
Owner
field of the tasks.
