Assigning Roles to Business Users

You need to assign user roles to the business users who are responsible for reviewing the new customer profiles and the edited customer profiles.
Use the Hub Console to assign user roles. You can follow the role-first or user-first approach. For a role-first approach, you select a role and then select the users and user groups that you want to associate with the role. For a user-first approach, you select a user or user group and then select the roles for the user or user group.
  1. In the Hub Console, connect to the Operational Reference Store of Customer 360.
  2. Acquire a write lock.
  3. In the Security Access Manager workbench,
    click
    Users and Groups
    .
    The Users and Groups tool opens.
  4. If you want to follow the role-first approach, on the
    Assign Users/Groups to Role
    tab, perform the following steps:
    1. Select a workflow role.
    2. Click the
      Edit
      button.
      The
      Assign users to Role
      dialog box appears.
    3. Select the users and user groups to whom you want to assign the role.
    4. Click
      OK
      .
    5. Repeat the steps for other workflow roles.
  5. If you want to follow the user-first approach, on the
    Assign Roles to User/Group
    tab, perform the following steps:
    1. Select a user or user group.
    2. Click the
      Edit
      button.
      The
      Assign users to Role
      dialog box appears.
    3. Select the workflow roles suitable for the user or user group.
    4. Click
      OK
      .
    5. Repeat the steps for other users and user groups.
