Reviewing New Records

Reviewing New Records

Review new records and then resolve the tasks by taking an action. If you cannot resolve the tasks, disclaim the tasks to return the tasks to the pool of available tasks. Or, if you know another user who can resolve the tasks, reassign the tasks to that user.
Before you begin, claim the tasks that you want to work on.
When you review tasks for new records, all field values in the new record need to be validated.
  1. Click
    Task Manager
    .
The task panel contains a list of tasks.
  2. Click
    My Assigned Tasks
    .
The task panel lists your assigned tasks.
  3. Optionally, to find tasks to manage, use custom filters or search.
    • Click the
      Filters
      icon, and then add filters.
    • In the search box, enter a search term, and then click the search icon.
For more information, see Finding Tasks.
  4. Select a task and determine if the values in the record meet your business requirements.
  5. Repeat step 4 for each new record that you want to review.
  6. Select the check box beside the tasks for which you want to take an action.
For example, you select the check box beside the tasks for new records that you want to approve.
    The
    Selected
    list appears.
  7. From the
    Selected
    list, click
    More Actions...
    .
    The
    More Actions...
    dialog box appears.

    Send Back
. Type an explanation in the Comment box.
    Reject

and type an explanation in the Comment box. The
    ActiveVOS Server
notifies the person who edited the record.
    <Other>
If you see other options in the menu, then your organization uses a custom business process. If the purpose of the option is not clear and your role permits access to the ActiveVOS console, you can open the process to understand the workflow. Otherwise, contact the person who created the business process.
    The tasks are closed.
  9. To change the ownership of the tasks without resolving the tasks, select one of the following actions:
