Editing a Record Containing a Child Record with Pending Changes

You can edit the root record or child records that do not have any pending changes. A yellow pending icon indicates whether a record contains any pending changes.

From the

Search Results

panel of the

page, open the record that you want to edit.

The record opens in a record view.

Click

Edit

If the button is disabled, you do not have permission to edit the record or the record has changes that are pending approval.

The following image shows the record for Edward John McNair, in edit mode. The record also contains a child record that you cannot edit because it has pending changes.
