The Informatica platform stage process transfers source data to the
MDM Hub
staging table associated with a particular base object without the use of a landing table in the process. The stage process creates logical data objects in the Model repository to process data and then transfers the data to the
MDM Hub
staging table.
The following image shows the Informatica platform stage process where source data is directly transferred from a data source to an
MDM Hub
staging table:
To run the Informatica platform staging, you must integrate the
MDM Hub
with the Informatica platform. Use the Hub Console to integrate the MDM Hub with the Informatica platform. Configure connection parameters to the Model Repository Service, after which you must enable Informatica platform staging and synchronize the
MDM Hub
with the Model repository. The synchronization creates data objects that you can edit by using the Developer tool.
After you synchronize the
MDM Hub
with the Model Repository Service, you create a mapping by using the objects that the synchronization process creates. When you run the stage process, the Data Integration Service processes the source data and transfers the data to the
MDM Hub
staging table.
During the stage process, the data that the Data Integration Service might reject are managed in the Model repository. When you perform Informatica platform staging, you cannot set up delta detection, hard delete detection, and audit trails.
The stage process prepares data for the load process, which later loads data from the staging table into a target base object.
