Configuring the Network Interface

You can install Vibe Data Stream components on a Linux machine or on a Windows machine. When you install the Vibe Data Stream components on a multihomed machine, specify the network interface.
The network interface address is an optional field. If you do not specify it, the installer selects any active network interface address on the multihomed machine. After completing the installation process, when you start the Vibe Data Stream components, the components might use a network interface address that differs from the one selected during the installation process. In such a situation, the components will not be able to interact with each other. To avoid this situation, specify the network interface when you install the components.
