Multilanguage Support for Macau Addresses

You can configure Address Verification to return valid Macau addresses in traditional Chinese or in Portuguese. The default language is traditional Chinese.
To set the preferred language, configure the
PreferredLanguage
 attribute of the
Result
 element in
Parameters.xml
.
The following table describes the
PreferredLanguage
 values that you can set for Macau address data:
Option
Description
DATABASE
Default value. Returns all address information in traditional Chinese.
ALTERNATIVE_1
Returns all address information in the database language.
ALTERNATIVE_2
Returns all address information in Portuguese.
PRESERVE_INPUT
Returns the address information in the input language.
Address Verification preserves the language if the reference address database contains the address in the input language.
The language of the input data can affect the operation of the PRESERVE_INPUT option on a Macau address. Address Verification identifies the input language as Portuguese when the input data uses 7-bit ASCII characters and includes a Portuguese-language descriptor.
