Note the following points when you verify Belgium addresses:
Set the
AliasLocality
attribute of the
Result
element in
Parameters.xml
to OFFICIAL to receive the main locality, Communiteit or Communité, name in the Locality field of the result output. The Belgium Mail organization mandates that you use the Communiteit or Communité name as the locality name. However, a postal code might resolve to the dependent locality name, which Informatica Address Verification then returns as the locality name.
If you set the
AliasLocality
attribute of the
Result
element in
Parameters.xml
to OFF, Address Verification returns the dependent locality name in the Locality field.
If you set the
AliasLocality
attribute of the
Result
element in
Parameters.xml
to PRESERVE, Address Verification copies the locality name in the input to the result output.
House numbers in Belgium remain contiguous for the entire stretch of street even if the street goes through multiple dependent localities. For example, Houtstraat 12 and Houtstraat 14 could be two different dependent localities.
Post offices in Belgium assign PO Box, Postbus, or BP numbers independently and do not follow any specific pattern. So, Address Verification always validates the PO Box number.
You can input Belgium addresses either in the AddressLines format or as address elements.
